Learn how this award-winning project developed new approaches on an age-old issue of racism and inequality. Using a case example from Macon, GA this presentation will describe strategies and solutions that strive to create a healthy and safe environment for all residents in the community. This project's innovative application of GIS, regional and site-scale design, and civic assets will be presented.

The project example responds to issues in discriminatory practices and provides planners resources and innovative approaches to reimagine ‘business as usual' planning and zoning practices.
