The Americans with Disabilities Act was enacted in 1990. Many public and private agencies are not aware of their specific requirements. Not addressing accessibility leaves out 20% of the population, and violates the Civil Rights of these individuals daily.

People with disabilities should be able to live independently without having to worry if they can get from point A to point B without running into a barrier. This is a basic need that most people take for granted. Presenters detail requirements for planning for people with disabilities, in particular, for having an ADA Transition Plan. This can be an overwhelming task for both pubic entities and private businesses.
