The nation’s housing supply shortage is center stage in Washington — from the White House to Congress.

To encourage local and regional housing production, the Biden-Harris Administration introduced this month new actions to increase supply nationwide, including a second round of the APA-endorsed Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) program and a new Legacy Challenge program to support local adaptive reuse efforts, commercial-to-residential conversions, and housing rehabilitation. Applications for PRO Housing and Legacy Challenge close on October 15 and November 1, respectively.

Hear from US Department of Housing and Urban Development leaders about changes to PRO Housing criteria in round two of the grant program and how communities receiving Community Development Block Grants can leverage up to $250 million in loan financing through the Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program.
