Course Details
This session will outline lessons for land use recovery from severe weather, earthquakes, and climate change from New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, and encourage planners to explore their role in the recovery process and to take action before a disaster strikes their community.
Learning Outcomes
- That planners have a role in ensuring communities are both resilient sustainable to natural hazard events.
- That planners understand their role, and are better prepared, to assist in a recovery process.
- That planners have a starting place to develop their own pre-event recovery plan.
