Gen Z Decoded

Course Details

Fostering equitable community planning is a team effort. Teams today are more diverse, with increasingly divergent approaches to tackling issues. Navigating the nuances of multi-generational teams can be perplexing, even frustrating.

Get insights into the minds of Gen Z planners and their managers as a panel shares their experiences in the workplace. By asking questions that others may feel too uncomfortable to ask of staff or superiors, panelists help both staff and leaders understand each other's values, motivations, and work ways. Leaders will learn how they may need to adapt their style to get the most out of young, energetic, and curious staffers. Gen Z planners will get a window into the systems and structures that their managers experience that drive their behaviors, decisions, and expectations. Armed with a better understanding, leaders and staff will be able to create supportive team environments where everyone feels heard and respected and can confidently devote their unique talents and perspectives to meaningful work.
