The New Jersey Department of Transportation recently released a model complete-streets policy and guide as a resource for advancing policies that incorporate best practices in green infrastructure, equity, and fair transportation expenditures. The model sharpens the focus on instituting complete-streets policies by incorporating green streets and green infrastructure, creating accountable procedures and performance standards, integrating public participation, and prioritizing equity and fairness in transportation expenditures and project selection.
The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority created the Complete Streets Technical Assistance Program to support local complete-streets implementation.
