Diana Bernal Ponce De León is a project manager for the Office of Economic and Workforce Development’s Invest In Neighborhoods team and has been with the City of San Francisco for six years. She oversees the implementation of economic development strategies in six neighborhoods, including several cultural districts like Japantown and the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District. Before working for the City of San Francisco, she spent nearly seven years in Houston, TX engaging communities, leading neighborhood studies and managing public realm enhancements tied to public transportation. Her experience also includes working in the nonprofit sector in Oakland, CA.
Diana completed her Master’s Degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with an emphasis in Housing, Community and Economic Development and her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She grew up in Long Beach, California.
