Dr. Sujata Govada, AICP is the Founding Director of the Institute for Sustainable Urbanisation (ISU), CEO/Managing Director of UDP International and a registered architect, qualified urban designer and certified town-planner with over 35 years of diverse international experience in Hong Kong, China, India, Philippines and USA.

Dr. Govada’s work has been recognized for being very innovative, influential, and instrumental in increasing awareness on sustainable development and shaping liveable and walkable cities in the region. As an Adjunct Associate Professor at CUHK, she teaches in the MSc UD Program that she helped set up and is also the 2015 President of AIAHK, a Global Trustee of ULI, the Founding Vice President of HKIUD, and a former Member of the Harbourfront Commission. Dr. Govada was also an advisor for World Bank on their Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Study focused on design, planning, development, implementation and scaling up of TOD based developments around the world.

Dr. Govada has gained a reputation as a thought leader in shaping smart, sustainable, resilient, livable and walkable communities and cities around the world.
