Vedette R. Gavin, MPH, MPA is a health equity futurist. She has committed her career to cultivating the research, strategy, and leadership in communities and institutions to create conditions where people and communities of color are well and thriving. She has 19 years of experience in public health research, public engagement, and systems change strategy. She is currently the Founder and Principal at Verge Impact Partners LLC and is the Co-Principal Investigator of the Healthy Neighborhoods Study (MIT). She serves as the Vice-Chair of the Black Women’s Health Imperative. She is a founding Board Member of the Center for Achieving Equity. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where she was an inaugural Sheila C. Johnson Fellow.
