Jade Shipman, AICP, has 17 years of experience in economic development. She established Jade Shipman Economics in 2010, to provide strategy and impact consulting for economic development initiatives nationwide, with a focus on serving low-income areas and New Markets Tax Credits. She helps clients create meaningful, high-impact projects and programs that improve economic opportunity and quality of life. She previously worked at AECOM Economics and Economics Research Associates. Ms. Shipman also served as the Director of Research & Innovation at SaverLife, a nationwide non-profit providing financial services to lower-income populations. Ms. Shipman holds a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree with High Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. She speaks at national conferences on economic development initiatives.
