Geoffrey Danker, AICP, MBA is the Policy & Planning Manager at Sempra Utilities. In this role, Mr. Danker collaborates with cities and counties by spearheading the utilities’ climate adaptation and resiliency activities and leads analysis, strategy development and implementation for local and regional planning initiatives. He successfully launched and currently manages SoCalGas' Climate Adaptation and Resiliiency Planning Grant Program. Prior to Sempra, Geoffrey worked as an environmental consultant providing planning, permitting and policy expertise for 55+ energy and infrastructure projects. He is currently a Legislative Liaison for the Association of Environmental Professionals – Los Angeles Chapter, a Board Member for the Young Professionals in Energy – Los Angeles Chapter, on the Leadership Board of Move LA, and serves on the Executive Committee for the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation. Geoffrey holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.S. in Environmental Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Certified Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners. Geoff has been a long supporter of APA, currently serving as the California Chapter's Awards Coordinator, and previously serving as the Los Angeles Section’s Awards Director, Programs Director, and Director of the Young Planners Group.
