Harrison Peck
Harrison Peck, AICP, is a Transport Planner with Arup in New York. Specializing in transportation planning policy and strategy, Harrison has worked on a number of projects and initiatives to improve the safety, functionality, and efficiency of urban roads. Working with the New York City Department of Transportation, Harrison co-authored the City's Vision Zero Pedestrian Safety Action Plans, and, while on assignment in London, he developed a road modernization and congestion strategy for cities in the United Kingdom. In 2017 he authored a paper--based largely on interviews with practitioners and experts from across the country--diagnosing the current state of roadway Level of Service in the United States and proposing a multimodal, context-sensitive alternative to the predominant delay-based metric. Prior to working at Arup, Harrison worked in the nonprofit world, advocating for improved ferry transit in New York City. He received his Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College in Manhattan and his BA from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
