Jennifer Graeff

Jennifer Graeff, AICP is currently working at Texas A&M's Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning as a visiting lecturer and planner-in residence. She is focusing on engagement and response efforts in communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey and developing strategies to aid recovery, as well as future preparedness. Jennifer is the public engagement coordinator at the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, where she will return upon completion of the her residency. At NYC Parks she develops engagement strategies and outreach opportunities for the department and communities throughout New York City. Previously, Jennifer was the associate director of international partnerships at the American Planning Association, where she managed many of APA's international technical assistance programs, including APA's Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas program that helped build planning capacity throughout Latin America and APA's Dutch partnership which provided educational opportunities to learn about Dutch water management. Jennifer holds a master of science in urban planning and a master of international affairs both from Columbia University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and is a co-author of APA's PAS Report 588: Planners and Water.
